Strategic Connections is a limited liability company registered in Kenya but operating across Africa and a few countries outside of Africa. We undertake advisory work in management and development. Although registered as a limited company, we position ourselves as a social enterprise, and see ourselves as development practitioners.
Strategic Connections was registered and started its operations as a body corporate in 2007. However, all the advisors within the organization have separately / individually had many years of practice prior to joining the organisation. This gives the firm a combined rich practical experience and track record within its fields of specialization.
We are committed both as individuals and as an entity to identification and promotion of practices that make organizations more effective in their developmental endeavors. We constantly search for creative alternative ways of seeing and thinking towards the developmental challenges of our day, venturing into the unknown in search of new meaning and possibilities to the respective questions.

Strategic Connections works mainly with development actors, although we also undertake a few selected strategic assignments with both the public and private sectors.
The staffing level of Strategic Connections changes from time to time. As of 2025, there were a total of five principal consultants and seven associate consultants, supported by three administrative staff. The team comprises a good mix of young and dynamic as well as senior and experienced advisors. We associate closely with other national and international firms of repute with whom we share knowledge, experiences, peer support and build synergies for large complex assignments. All principal consultants and associates are experts in fields within our key focus areas.
Other than financial systems reviews / audits and value for money assessments, Strategic Connections does not undertake statutory audits. We however assist our clients, where need arises, to identify appropriate firms for the latter whenever necessary. We are associated to a number of audit firms of repute to whom we often refer our clients.
Being a social enterprise, we are driven by an ambition of facilitating positive social change; however we use business principles to address this cause. We are not donor funded and therefore generate our own resources by charging for our services.
We charge fees for professional services based on the nature of the assignment (type, complexity, length, etc.) as well as the seniority of the selected team members. The level of fees to be charged is usually discussed and agreed with our clients in advance, based on an approved fee structure / guideline.
